It comes in the form of a pen that is injected under the skin once a week, starting from 1.7 mg. After 4 weeks, the dose is increased to the maximum dose of 2.4 mg once weekly for the remaining 2 months.

Inject your dose under the skin (subcutaneously) in your stomach area (abdomen), thigh, or upper arm, using a different injection site each week when injecting in the same body region. After one month, throw the pen away and replace it with another pen for the following month's treatment.
